So here's the deal:
I just turned 20, I'm single, I'm in a pretty good place in my life, and I want to share that with someone. I can't seem to meet people just out and about so I'm posting around to different places I frequent in hopes of meeting some new people. I'd like to make some new friends, but what I'm really looking for right now is someone to get close to.
Info on me:
I live on my own. I have 3 cats that I love more than anything. I'm very close to my mom. I go to college. I have a job as a cat sitter. (Can you tell I love cats?) I've endured a lot of hardships in my life which, I'm told, makes me a little on the mature side. (I'm not trying to sound conceited.) I'm a die hard romantic. I hate being cold. I smoke, though I'm trying to quit. I drink, but VERY rarely. I have my own beliefs that don't follow organized religion. I love to read. I prefer being close to someone than sex. My favorite thing to do is take a bath. I listen to country and techno. I'd rather stay at home than go out. I love surprises that don't drag out and being "courted". Ummm... Oh, and I like weird things on my pizza. :)
Please don't respond if:
You're bi. Nothing against you, I just have had bad experiences in the past.
You can't spell. It irks me to no end.
You're under 19 or over 24.
You have a penis.
You're in a relationship.
I think that about sums it up. If you have other things you want to know about me, feel free to ask. I'm really interested in meeting some new faces. Maybe you'll be "the one"?
I might delete this community.
Nobody has posted for a LONG time, and no one has posted a personal topic for even longer.
Unless someone else wants to take over officially.
Let me know.
I am interested in taking a kickboxing class in Seattle. I live on capital hill BUT I have a car (however, on the hill would be preferred). Does anyone have any leads or personal experiance on this?
thanks so much!
well, i did a week ago. so far the first week has been successful. finding my way around, going out a little, have a job. i came from [rochester] new york. i know just a couple people here, and have been meeting people they know, but i'd like to get the process rolling a little. i'm working on a getting a computer so for the time being, i'm slightly delayed when it comes to communications through here....
i like going to music shows, or films. going out dancing and for drinks is always an option. bowling, if there are minigolf places around. i don't know i'm game for anything at this point. oh, and i'm a vegetarian and like cooking parties. i'll even sit around and get crafty with you.
i did stop at the wildrose for a drink. i've been told by many that its the infamous dyke bar here, so now i can say i've been there. i plan on going to/volunteering at the queer film festival next month.
i like the name tequila, so that's what i answer to. i'm twenty three. super easy going and i think i'm funny but hey, not everyone likes my humor. i'm just a dork. and kind of a goof. a little quiet but if you have the ability to have conversations then we'll be just fine.
and if for whatever foresaken reason this matters to you, i identify as queer. sexuality is all relative when gender is fluid. and if your visual curiousity is getting the best of you, there is a link to photos at my journal...
oh, and this was crossposted just a little...
The Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival is looking for volunteers to usher, staff the merchandise and will call table, help with setting up and breaking down events, serve food and drinks and more. Volunteers have a great time at the festival, meet new people, and earn coupons to see films for free.
The festival this year is Friday, October 13-Sunday, October 22nd. For more information about the festival visit www.seattlequeerfilm.com and to volunteer send an email to: email@example.com.
Reactions to the WA Supreme Court's decision to uphold the gay-marriage ban
The Seattle Times asked readers to submit thier responses to the Washington Supreme Court's decision to uphold the gay-marriage ban. Some of the responses where a bit shocking. Here they are with my responses. Read More
Last year after hearing about Pride from a friend I decided that I very much wanted to attend this year. Sadly however I'm at a point in my life where I'm rebuilding... pretty much an entire social network from the ground up and I don't have anyone to go with. This event is completely new to me, so I scaracely know what all will be occuring, let alone what times what is happening. If there are any people out there that wouldn't mind making new friends and having a tag along this weekend I would really appreciate it. It's like being in a completely new city for me right now after a period of about 6 months of keeping to myself.
Really I'm just looking for a group of people to pal around with, make friends, and show me around. I know time is running short, so I'll go ahead and say that you can e-mail me at Princess Paradox at AOL dot com (no spaces, replace at with @ and dont with a period), or have a look at my MySpace to read a bit more about me.
Thanks in advance,
